2 Ton Electric Mini Crane

The BOB-LIFT SQ2Z-E is a 2 ton electric mini crane, offered with wireless remote control (SQ2Z-ER) or manual lever control (SQ2Z-EM). A 2200 W electric-hydraulic power unit on a 12 V supply drives the boom luffing, boom extension and 360° slewing, so no truck power take-off is needed. The load chart rates it at 2,000 kg at 1.2 m, 1,000 kg at 2 m, 500 kg at 3.1 m, with a maximum hook height of 3.4 m. It can be mounted on a vehicle or fixed in place, and the crane alone weighs 290 kg.

What the model name means

In SQ2Z-E, SQ is the BOB-LIFT crane prefix, 2 is the rated capacity in tonnes (2,000 kg), Z marks the knuckle (folding) boom and E marks the electric drive. A last letter names the control: SQ2Z-EM for manual levers, SQ2Z-ER for wireless remote. The 1 ton version of the same design is the SQ1Z-E.

How much it lifts at each reach

Like every crane, a mini crane lifts less the further the hook moves out. The SQ2Z-E lifts its full 2,000 kg only up to 1.2 m from the slewing centre. At 2 m the limit is 1,000 kg, and at the full 3.1 m reach it is 500 kg. Plan each lift from the chart, not from the 2 ton rating: a 2,000 kg load must be picked close to the column.

Boom section Working radius Rated load Hook height
Section 1 (retracted) 1.2 m 2,000 kg 2.4 m
Section 2 (hydraulic extension) 2 m 1,000 kg 2.9 m
Section 3 (manual extension) 3.1 m 500 kg 3.4 m

Electric drive with its own battery

The crane carries an electric-hydraulic power unit: a 2200 W 12 V DC motor, a pump and an oil tank in one block at the foot of the column. The usual battery is a 12 V 136 Ah pack. On the factory unit it sits in a frame beside the power unit with its own mains charger, so the crane can work where there is no vehicle power, such as on a workshop floor or a dock.

The power unit is built for intermittent lifting, the stop-and-go work of loading and unloading. It is not meant for hours of non-stop cycling. On battery power, long runs of back-to-back lifts drain the battery, so recharge it between jobs.

Two control options: SQ2Z-EM and SQ2Z-ER

The SQ2Z-E comes with either of two controls, on the same crane, power unit and boom:

  • SQ2Z-ER, wireless remote: a handheld remote with a start and stop button and six motion buttons: boom up and down, extend and retract, slew left and right. Each button works a solenoid valve on the crane, so one operator can stand where the load is easiest to see, guide it with a free hand and set it down without a helper calling signals.
  • SQ2Z-EM, manual levers: one lever each on the valve bank beside the column for boom up and down, extend and retract, and slewing. There is no radio link to pair, charge or replace, which suits buyers who want the simplest machine and an operator who stands at the crane during every lift.

Boom, slewing and mounting

  • Luffing: a hydraulic cylinder raises and lowers the boom, which changes both the hook height and the working radius.
  • Extension: the second boom section extends and retracts hydraulically, taking the reach from 1.2 m to 2 m. The third section is a manual extension arm, pinned out by hand for the full 3.1 m reach.
  • Slewing: a hydraulic motor turns the column on a toothed slewing ring for 360° rotation. A load can be picked from the ground beside the vehicle and swung onto the deck without moving the vehicle.
  • Mounting: vehicle-mounted or fixed. The base plate bolts down, with no welding and no changes to the vehicle. With the boom lowered and retracted, the crane measures 850 × 620 × 1670 mm (L × W × H) and takes up little deck space.
  • Base cart option: the crane is also offered on a base cart with side outriggers (350 kg, 1550 × 1000 × 1780 mm overall).
  • Hook: a swivel hook with a safety latch at the boom head; there is no winch, so the hook height is set by luffing and extending the boom.

Where it is used

Buyers use this class of crane wherever loads are too heavy to carry by hand but too small to justify a large crane:

  • Loading and unloading pickups and light trucks: moulds, machine parts and building materials.
  • Repair workshops: lifting engines, gearboxes and heavy components.
  • Farms and orchards: farm machinery parts, fertiliser and materials.
  • Solar installation, municipal maintenance and small building sites.

Safe use and care

  • Never exceed the load at the working radius on the chart, and never side-pull or drag a load.
  • Bolt the base to a structure strong enough for the crane’s lifting moment (2.4 t·m at 1.2 m).
  • Keep the open slewing ring and pivot pins greased. Outdoors, mud and grit wear the ring and the cylinder seals faster.
  • Wear parts such as cylinder seals, pins and bushings are standard sizes. We supply them under the 12-month warranty and afterwards.

FAQ

Questions about the SQ2Z-E

About the SQ2Z-E

How much can the SQ2Z-E lift at full reach?

At its full 3.1 m working radius the SQ2Z-E lifts 500 kg. Its rated 2,000 kg applies only up to 1.2 m from the slewing centre, and at 2 m the limit is 1,000 kg.

Does the SQ2Z-E need a truck power take-off?

No. The SQ2Z-E has its own 2200 W electric-hydraulic power unit on a 12 V supply. The usual battery is a 12 V 136 Ah pack, charged from the mains.

What is the difference between the SQ2Z-EM and the SQ2Z-ER?

They are the same 2 ton crane with different controls. The SQ2Z-EM is worked from manual levers on the valve bank. The SQ2Z-ER has a wireless remote with solenoid valves, so one operator can work it from a distance.

Can the SQ2Z-E rotate a full circle?

Yes. A hydraulic motor turns the column on a slewing ring for 360° rotation, so a load can be lifted beside the vehicle and set down on the deck without moving the vehicle.

Can the SQ2Z-E lift all day without stopping?

No. The power unit is built for intermittent lifting, such as loading and unloading. Long runs of back-to-back lifts on battery power drain the battery, so recharge it between jobs.

How many SQ2Z-E cranes fit in a shipping container?

Our factory loading plan puts about 20 SQ2Z-E cranes in a 20 ft standard container without the base cart, or 6 with the cart. A 40 ft standard container takes about 42 without the cart, or 12 with it. The exact count for your order is confirmed on the packing list.

Ordering and service

Which configuration should we choose for this model?

Send the load, the working radius, where the crane will be fixed and the destination country. We confirm whether the 1 t or 2 t size, with lever or wireless remote control, suits the job before quotation.

How is the crane mounted and powered?

The crane bolts to a vehicle bed or a fixed base, and a base cart with side outriggers is available as an option. A 12 V electric-hydraulic power unit drives it from a battery, so it needs no truck power take-off.

Can the crane be customized for our working conditions?

Tell us the lifting work, the site and the requirements of the destination country, and we confirm what can be adjusted before quotation.

What is the delivery time, and which documents come with the order?

Lead time depends on the configuration, order quantity and destination, and we confirm it in writing with your quotation. Each order ships with a commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading, plus the product documents required for the confirmed order.

Is operator training provided?

There is no operator training at delivery. Your technicians are welcome at our factory in Xuzhou to learn the crane, the manual comes in English with other languages on request before the order, and our Service & Operation page has short videos on checks before and during lifting.

What after-sales support is available?

Cranes carry a 12-month warranty. Send the model, serial number and a photo or video of the issue: we reply within 12 hours, guide the repair by video and ship common spare parts within 48 hours.

Need a mini crane matched to your vehicle or workshop?

Send the load, the working radius, where the crane will be fixed and the destination country. BOB-LIFT will help match a practical configuration.
