The SQ14SA5 is a 14 ton telescopic boom truck crane. It lifts 14,000 kg at 2.5 m, 6,500 kg at 5.75 m and 800 kg at its full 19.33 m reach, with a 35 t·m maximum lifting moment and 360° slewing. The crane itself weighs 5,100 kg and needs 1,300 mm of space behind the cab.
What the 14 ton SQ14SA5 is built for
The SQ14SA5 has a five-section straight boom that runs out from 5.75 m to 19.33 m, the longest reach and highest capacity in our telescopic range. It is built for heavy trucks: the crane base is 2,440 mm wide, it stands 2,592 mm high when stowed and the outriggers spread to 7,400 mm. Typical work is lifting steel beams, precast concrete and heavy machinery, setting transformers and poles, and supplying building sites where loads go up to upper floors. Raised to 75° with the boom fully extended, the boom tip reaches about 21 m above the crane base.
Rated capacity always depends on radius. At 9.2 m the SQ14SA5 lifts 3,500 kg and at 12.58 m it lifts 2,200 kg, so check the weight of your heaviest regular load at the distance you need before you choose a tonnage. If your loads are lighter and you want a smaller truck, the SQ10SA4 10 ton telescopic crane weighs 3,800 kg and reaches 15.5 m.

Figures from the SQ14SA5 load chart with the boom horizontal. Raising the boom shortens the radius and adds capacity: fully extended to 19.3 m at 75°, it lifts 4,600 kg at 5.0 m. Download the SQ14SA5 load chart (PDF)
Mounting it on your truck
The SQ14SA5 mounts on a truck chassis behind the cab. These are the figures your body builder needs from the dimension drawing:
| Installation space behind the cab |
1,300 mm |
| Outrigger span |
2,260–7,400 mm |
| Width of the crane base |
2,440 mm |
| Height of the crane when stowed |
2,592 mm |
| Hydraulic supply |
75 L/min at 26 MPa, about 42 kW |
| Oil tank |
200 L |
Send us your truck make, model and wheelbase, and we check that the chassis and power take-off suit the crane before you order. Download the SQ14SA5 dimension drawing (PDF)

Optional attachments
- Hydraulic gripper opened and closed by its own cylinder to grab and release loads.
- Clamshell bucket for loading, unloading and light digging of waste, chippings and soil.
- Orange peel grab for scrap and bulk material.
- Timber grapple for logs and timber.
- Auger for tree-planting holes, utility poles, foundation piles and soil sampling.
Certification
The SQ14S series holds a CE certificate of conformity under the EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
Choosing the right model
Need more than 14 t? The next class up is the SQ16SA5 at 16 t. For lighter loads, the SQ12SA4 at 12 t is the class below.
Before ordering, check that the truck's power take-off can deliver 75 L/min at 26 MPa. We recommend 42 kW of hydraulic power. Its self weight of 5100 kg adds to the load on the truck, so allow for it in the payload.
